Heritage Mural Series

The Heritage Mural Series is a V.U.R.T. public-art initiative led by muralist Evan Lovett that works with communities to transform local history, culture, industry and identity into monumental contemporary works of public art.

Rather than reproducing historic photographs or creating conventional commemorative murals, each project researches the stories and visual language of a place and reinterprets them through Lovett's distinctive combination of realism, narrative composition, architectural ornament, trompe l'œil and dimensional perspective.

The objective is to create something that feels timeless. Simultaneously historic and contemporary—a mural that chronicles that community’s unique story.
