Local Critters

Philadelphia is home to over 1.5 million people. All who live, work, and coexist Seamlessly. Often we forget or overlook the animals that also call this city home. "Local Critters" is a series of murals depicting these animals. The juxtaposition of painting these smaller inhabitants on such a large scale acts as a playful way to raise awareness of their presence in our environment.

Animals have no political or religious ties, and the personification of such interesting creatures beutifully conveys what the "city of brotherly love" can call each other, neighbor.

Fabric of the Community

Camden, NJ

Over the summer of 2019, we took part in helping create a new playground at Washington Park, in Camden, New Jersey. Wanting to promote the feeling comfort and safety, we based our pattern for the retaining walls surrounding the playground, on a traditional blanket design. The colors were chosen to match the preselected playground equipment.

“A year ago, families in this neighborhood didn’t feel safe bringing their kids here, but today they get a state-of-the-art space to play, relax, and come together as a community,” said Freeholder Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Park System. “The Freeholder Board made this investment because we know full well the role that parks and shared spaces play in raising the quality of life throughout the entire neighborhood.”
